ABOUT
Based in Berlin and Lübeck, zischlermann filmproduktion GmbH was founded in 2009 by Susanne Mann and Paul Zischler, creating feature films and documentaries for the international market. Martin Rehbock has been a partner as a producer and writer since 2017.
The company is renowned for its hands-on, intuitive approach to subject matter, prioritising individual artistic style, long-term collaborations, and films that stand out for their distinctive content that resonates with audiences. With the goal of retaining strong writers and directors and expanding their international partnerships, zischlermann has produced films that include the Emmy-winning documentary WAR OF LIES (Matthias Bittner), Ronny Trocker’s „THE EREMITES“ (Venice “Orizzonti) and „THE HUMAN FACTOR “ (Sundance, Berlinale Panorama), the co-production „ADVENTURES OF A MATHEMATICIAN“ (Thorsten Klein), and the children’s film „RASPBERRIES WITH MUSTARD“ (Ruth Olshan).
In the summer of 2024 the feature film „TWO TO ONE“, starring Sandra Hüller (Natja Brunckhorst), achieved more than 500,000 views from over 500 prints, and the TV production „WOLFSWINKEL“ (ARD) has achieved a 20% market share. Amongst many projects Martin Rehbock was involved with, the series „BONN – ALTE FREUNDE, NEUE FEINDE“ and the film „ALLES IN BESTER ORDNUNG“ stand out. Currently, CALL ME QUEEN (shot in Kenya by director Emily Atef ), is in post-production and ELEPHANTS IN THE FOG (Abinash Bikram Shah) was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival and and was awarded the Jury Prize.
The company is a member of the Producers of Germany PROG, part of ACE, and was part of the VFF Business Scholarship; the producers are both EP2C alumni and members of the European and German Film Academies.
